Shed Eliminator
The Shed Eliminator is a hybrid between a professional pet de-shedding comb and a vacuum accessory. Normally, thousands of hairs are safely removed from your pet using a comb like this, but where does it all go? On you, the floor, and into the air. The vacuuming power of the Shed Eliminator (with included medium-sized blade) means that you don't have to worry about spreading dirty pet hair around your house. Its all vacuumed up and sent to your central vacuum unit.

The Small Pet and Lint Brush
Sometimes, you may not need the functionality of a de-shedding comb. The Small Pet Brush is safe to use just about anywhere, including your pets' soft underbelly and delicate toes. With the Lint Brush, featuring two lint removing edges on the front and back underside, accompanied by a wide air channel, you'll completely remove pet hair from any upholstered surface.

The Hose
This 15 foot PetVac Hose is designed to use with your standard central vacuum hose only. It also features an airflow bleeder valve that makes combing and vacuuming your pet easier. Plug this hose into your central vacuum hose and open the bleed valve (move hose away from the sound of the airflow). Most animals won't even know a vacuum is running, because most of the sound is at the bleeder valve. For extra airflow release, open the bleeder valve on your central vacuum hose, if available. The hose will not fit some Electrolux or Hoover central vacuum hoses, so you will need to purchase a Basic Hose to use the kit with those brands.

Question: What is the best way to clean deep shag carpet or high pile carpet when a typical vacuum head sinks down and stops rotating?

The high pile shag carpet, often make by Shaw, Tufftex (Tuff Tex), Sutton, CabinCrafts, Couture and Queen, and others and is known as Shaggy Sheik, Casabella, and Peilcan Hill II and more.

The tufts are about 3/8" in diameter and about 3/8" apart from each other and about 2.5" long (other varieties vary). This carpet is too thick to use a roller beater brush on and one shouldn't be used for the carpet's own protection (just as the manufacturer).

So how do you clean a high pile shag carpet? MD Manufacturing has invented a new tool which actually rakes the carpet while it sucks from the center of two rows of long, stiff, plastic wire fingers. MD's tool is also called "Rug Tool with Tines". It will help loosen the debris and suck in out of carpet! In fact many of these long carpet manufacturers recommend "the use of a suction only vacuum for pile construction that is sensitive to brushing or rubbing [by beater brushes]".
