MD Donates to Local Wounded Soldier
Local Bakersfield central vacuum installer, Bob Norville, of California Central Vacuum, who regularly donates his time and effort to many worthwhile causes in our community, came to MD asking for help for Corporal Evan Morgan. This young man lost both legs and part of his eyesight in Iraq and as a "thank you" for his service and sacrifice, Homes for our Troops built him a new home to assist him in his new challenges in life.

Evan is a great example of life, hope, and excitement. M.D. Manufacturing, Inc. is thankful to have had the opportunity to donate a central vacuum to a local hero who gave so much more for our country. Thank you all who have served in our military and the families who have supported them back home.

The Basics: What is a Central Vacuum?
A central vacuum is a built-in cleaning system that replaces traditional vacuum cleaners. It can be installed in existing and new construction homes, typically in a day. A Central Vacuum is comprised of three parts:

  1. The main power unit, located out of sight in a basement, garage, or utility room, that provides suction and filtration;
  2. PVC tubing that runs through the attic, basement, and walls to wall inlet ports throughout the house (about one inlet port per every 700 to 1,000 square feet);
  3. The hose and tools.

More information about the versatility and overall health benefits of a central vacuum system, along with other benefits, can be found in Why a Central Vacuum.
