I just love my MD central vacuum! I have had central vacuum systems before, but never one as quiet, powerful or as efficient as the MD system. MD is the best system that I have ever had the pleasure to own. I used to worry about the power nozzle on my old systems destroying my wood floors, however the MD system easily converts to a wood-friendly tool just by flicking the switch on the handle, as opposed to changing the complete wand. It's also great to be able to hear the telephone ring while vacuuming! The ease of operation, combined with the way it makes my carpeting look has me convinced that the purchase of MD central vacuum system was one of the BEST decisions I ever made. "My previous testimonial indicated high initial satisfaction with my do-it-yourself installation of a 220volt SilentMaster S5 with a Stealth power-brush. My system consists of nine 110v outlets throughout the home.

Well, after seven years of constant use and abuse, it is just as powerful and silent as it was when I first installed it. I clean the filters and change the bags often, using only genuine MD bags. Recently, the electrical connector on the Stealth power-head had to be replaced, so I took the opportunity to do a complete disassembly of the Stealth power-head to clean and service as necessary. To my surprise, after seven years of hard use, there was almost no wear on anything, brushes and all. A new cord and switch put it back in tip-top condition.

While I'm at it, I think I'll order that Vac-n-Seal retrofit kit, the Manta MopHead and maybe the CentraMop.

"I have the MD ModernDay E2 and after 25 years the motor brushes are getting a little worn. I must add that I am very pleased with my vacuum system, over the last 25 years I've replaced the power head three times, the hose twice and vacuumed massive amounts of dog hair from three Labs. It's amazing the main unit lasted as long as it has. I took the bottom off and found very little dust or dirt around the motors, I was expecting a 25 year accumulation. Pleasure to Empty Bag
"This house came with a Vacuflo 960. I had Silent Master in my former home and emptying it was a pleasure compared to the Vacu-flo. I have the 1 3/8'' hose that came with the Turbocat which doesn't work good on my very thick white carpet that has a 96 oz. face weight or whatever it is called."

"After extensive web-searches RE: "Central Vacuums", I must declare that your web site 'stands alone' in thorough/comprehensive information! My first e-mail approach to you was in the first week of Jan '02. Since that time my wife Mary & I traveled 90 miles one way (closest dealer) to see AND hear a SilentMaster S5 (P/N 108SM) in operation. I had numerous contacts with your sales rep.

With the "stand-alone" specs of your unit, seeing one in a dealer's operation and the professional assistance of Tom at MD, we have purchased a SilentMaster S5 & Stealth Kit. Please note; I stirred the interest of a good friend of mine who also purchased an S5 & Stealth Kit; which accounts for my invoice to show two (2) units shipped & paid for.

Your sales rep is an asset to your business in that he is not a "pressure" salesman nor did he at any time, indicate that he 'knew everything' I asked. Some the technical questions were answered directly by engineers.

Now, as for the S5 itself; this piece of equipment; "SUCKS"! But hey, that's what it's supposed to do, right? The first cleaning of just three rooms with our new system astounded us in the unbelievable amount of dirt we found in the unit's dirt bag! The Stealth power unit is a marvel also. We were surprised to see how "light-weight" it is. We are hopeful this factor doesn't show up in short 'useful life'. We are convinced, emphatically; "We own the best central vac system, there is"!

With the installation guidance provided with the system and on your website, I found the installation quite straightforward. I especially liked the fit of the vacuum tubing in the fittings (I was about one joint short of having enough tubing to finish the job, and purchased that joint locally--the quality and fit of the locally purchased tubing was not as good as the tubing from MD Manufacturing).

I also appreciated the assistance provided by the folks at MD Manufacturing during the ordering process. Helpful suggestions on various options were offered by a very knowledgeable staff (who were also very good sales people--I ended up buying more than I originally intended, but based on the input from the MD Manufacturing folks, I decided it was justified!).

Based on the information you sent along, and some less than satisfying correspondence with your competition, I ordered a stealth power brush kit to replace the Nutone power brush and hose we received from the previous owners. The kit came quickly and the quality of the material in comparison to what we had immediately impressed me.

We've been using the Stealth power brush kit for more than two months to clean up after our very active and dirt tracking children. It does a superior job cleaning the carpets and floors over our Nutone kit we had. The hose kit with integral power wires is a dream to use. It rarely kinks and is much easier to use than the Nutone hose. The Stealth power brush is orders of magnitude more quiet than our old power brush. In fact, the kids no longer run away when we vacuum, and we can even carry on a normal conversation or watch the news on TV while it is running.

You have a great product that I would not hesitate to recommend. In fact I already have recommended your products to family members!"

I am building a new home and feel sure your vacuum system will be my choice after spending quite some time at your web page. I have downloaded your installation manual for forwarding to my HVAC engineer for incorporation into my house plans.

I found your web page thru typing in key words "central vacuum systems" on the Dogpile search engine, and you were my second selection of many (near the top).

I had not heard of MD vacuums prior to visiting your web page. In fact, though considering all the finer "bells and whistles" in the construction of my new home, I had not even thought of a central vac until an acquaintance asked me if I planned to have one. Apparently, architects, engineers, and designers do not yet ask about central vacs in the same breath as they ask whether you plan to use gas or electric appliances, and what type of flooring and kitchen cabinets you prefer.

Also, I recently visited some of the more upscale model homes in major developments in our area and I don't recall any mention of built in vacuums being offered as a marketing feature. More like "corian" counter tops, high ceilings, and tile flooring.

As one who has fought all the battles in the "love-hate" relationship with canister vacs, I will be looking forward to this new retirement home all the more for its central vac feature."
