Using Your EdgeLift Power Head
1. ON CARPETS. No special setup is required for vacuuming carpets. Simply assemble your power head as instructed above, turn it "ON" and start vacuuming.
2. ON BARE FLOORS. For vacuuming on bare floors, keep your vacuum running, but turn your power head "OFF" so the brush roll is not spinning. The brush roll is designed to agitate and groom your carpets, and serves no function on bare floors. However, if the brush roll's bristles happen to be positioned vertically instead of horizontally, they may block dirt from flowing up into the nozzle and may "plow" the dirt instead. So if you see that your power head is not picking up all the dirt and debris when vacuuming bare floors, turn the brush roll "ON" for a few seconds, to spin the dirt and debris past the bristles, into the nozzle and into your vacuum cleaner.
3. REACH INTO CORNERS. For unprecedented corner-cleaning power, your power head features innovative Boosters on its left and right sides. Each Booster has an angled, forward "scoop" that reaches into corners to pull dust and dirt which other power heads leave behind.
4. TRUE EDGE-CLEANING. For extra edge-cleaning power, the Boosters’ angled scoops and rear dirt intakes ensure maximum edge-cleaning on forward and backward strokes.
