Regular Cleaning
  • Use warm water or most tile/laminate/wood floor cleaners already used or on the market.
  • Check with your flooring manufacturer before using any cleaning solutions to avoid damage.
  • Spray the cleaner directly onto the pad to dampen and reapply as needed.
Cleaning the Pad
  • Machine washable. Do not use fabric softeners, dryer sheets or bleach when washing pad as this eliminates the electrostatic charge for dust pick-up when dry or wet.
  • For quick washing, place in warm water with laundry detergent for 5 minutes. Rinse pad thoroughly, wring out, and hang to dry.

The Small Pet and Lint Brush
Sometimes, you may not need the functionality of a de-shedding comb. The Small Pet Brush is safe to use just about anywhere, including your pets' soft underbelly and delicate toes. With the Lint Brush, featuring two lint removing edges on the front and back underside, accompanied by a wide air channel, you'll completely remove pet hair from any upholstered surface.

The Hose
This 15 foot PetVac Hose is designed to use with your standard central vacuum hose only. It also features an airflow bleeder valve that makes combing and vacuuming your pet easier. Plug this hose into your central vacuum hose and open the bleed valve (move hose away from the sound of the airflow). Most animals won't even know a vacuum is running, because most of the sound is at the bleeder valve. For extra airflow release, open the bleeder valve on your central vacuum hose, if available. The hose will not fit some Electrolux or Hoover central vacuum hoses, so you will need to purchase a Basic Hose to use the kit with those brands.

Safe
The Shed Eliminator blade may look sharp, but its shape and functionality are very safe and are the standard amongst common professional de-shedding combs. Shed Eliminator comes with a medium sized comb blade (small and large replacement blades sold separately).

Long Shag - Deep Pile Carpet Brush
Question: What is the best way to clean deep shag carpet or high pile carpet when a typical vacuum head sinks down and stops rotating?

The high pile shag carpet, often make by Shaw, Tufftex (Tuff Tex), Sutton, CabinCrafts, Couture and Queen, and others and is known as Shaggy Sheik, Casabella, and Peilcan Hill II and more.

The tufts are about 3/8" in diameter and about 3/8" apart from each other and about 2.5" long (other varieties vary). This carpet is too thick to use a roller beater brush on and one shouldn't be used for the carpet's own protection (just as the manufacturer).

So how do you clean a high pile shag carpet? MD Manufacturing has invented a new tool which actually rakes the carpet while it sucks from the center of two rows of long, stiff, plastic wire fingers. MD's tool is also called "Rug Tool with Tines". It will help loosen the debris and suck in out of carpet! In fact many of these long carpet manufacturers recommend "the use of a suction only vacuum for pile construction that is sensitive to brushing or rubbing [by beater brushes]".

What do TornadoPower cloths do for your system?

This is belt 7227 as seen in some manuals. Other manufacturers sold it as other model numbers such as VM179. We sell the gray and blue version of the brush and its parts that fit all colored units.
Cogged belt is 9/32" wide, 6 1/16" long when flattened, and the distance between cog peaks is 1/8".
