It's really quite simple to change a replacement motor in your vacuum. It can take as little as 15 minutes. First, turn off the circuit breaker or unplug the Central Vacuum unit. Then, access the motor by releasing the outer housing. Three bolts and a couple of wires, and the old motor is out and the new one is in! Use the chart below to find the right replacement motor for your Nutone Central Vacuum Model. Your motor will have many numbers on it but typically the real number starts with 11.
