All inlet valve faceplate covers on this page fit into a 1-5/8 inch diameter hole in a mounting bracket inside the wall. Each inlet valve can be mounted with the lid opening up or down. Mounting screws are about 3-7/8 inches apart on center. The diameter of the vacuum inlet hole under the hinged door is a hair under 1-1/2 inches. Note, if you need valve covers that have two small holes for 110 volts, please click here to go to Electric Valves. Also note that the FULL FACE style inlets below are the MOST DURABLE.

Watch VideoThere are two metal contact points inside the hole of each inlet valve below and two screws on the back side for the low voltage wire connection. All valves on this page are interchangeable.

REPLACE ANY TYPE OF OLDER VALVE with any of these valves (except some pre-1970 valves activated by PRESSING copper or a button, or that have a 1-1/4 inch diameter inlet hole). Check for the 1-5/8" diameter hole in the mounting bracket.

If you do not have a hose with an on/off switch on the hose handle, consider a Low Voltage Hose. For existing home installation cut the plastic stud mounting side off and set it in a 2-3/8 x 4-1/4" drywall (or wall material) cutout and fasten inlet cover (with previously attached low voltage wire) for a long lasting, firm hold.
