We have everything you need to install a central vacuum or retrofit your old one. Two inch outer diameter thin wall PVC vacuum pipe (and fittings) are standard in 99% of installations. If you have smaller pipe, there are pipe adapters below. Use standard PVC glue for pipe and fittings.

Use this fitting at the mounting plates only. Since this is the sharpest turn in the system, potential clogging will occur with easy access - right at the inlet valve! If you need a case, enter 90 for the quantity.

90 Sweep PVC Vacuum Connector
M.D. Manufacturing sells the highest quality fittings. We suggest avoiding PVC sch40 fittings. They are thin and leave a 'step' where the pipe connects. Toothpicks or pins can get stuck creating clogs. Also make sure fittings have a 3/4" cuff, not 1/2", to provide strength at joints. If you need a case, enter 115 for the quantity.

90 Spigot PVC Vacuum Connector
Spigot fittings are made to fit directly into other fittings. This will prove helpful in tight spots! If you need a case of these enter 115.

45 Degree PVC Vacuum Connector
We suggest using 45's, even two of them when possible, to use less 90's. When the pipe line needs to run up or down, angle a 90 at 45-degrees into a 45 fitting. If you need a case, enter 125 for the quantity.

The Straight Tee is not recommended for any part of a central vacuum installation. Use only when necessary. It has poor air-flow characteristics and when used for back to back inlet valves dirt is deposited behind the opposite inlet valve door.

3-in-1 Mounting Bracket PVC
Most popular bracket for all rectangle Basic Inlet Valve Covers. For new construction nail it to a stud. For existing home installation cut the plastic stud mounting side off and set it in a 2-3/8 x 4-1/4" drywall (or wall material) cutout and fasten inlet cover (with previously attached low voltage wire) for a long lasting, firm hold. When piping, connect a fitting such as a tight 90 or coupling to the flange. If you need a case of these enter 75.

Metal Mounting Bracket with Spigot
For new construction nail it to a stud. When piping, connect a fitting such as a tight 90 or coupling to the flange. Finish it with a basic inlet valve cover.

Exhaust Vent Door for Central Vacuum Pipe
Installed on the outside of the home to exhaust the power unit. This is not needed with M.D.'s bag type units. Fits 2" OD (Vacuum PVC Pipe). Overall size is 3-5/8"w X 4-5/8"h. Distance on the door flap is 2 3/4 inch. If you need a case, enter 40 for the quantity.

PVC Plaster Guard (2 per pack)
Useful in new construction installations to cover up the backing plate, protecting it from dry-walling and painting. Also lets drywallers know where to cut an opening. You can use a rectangle piece of cardboard to protect the hole and wires or one of these. NOTE: You'll need longer screws if your back mount is plastic and also note that this guard covers 90% of the back mount - the edges are open because the guard is rounded not square. If you need a case, enter 125 for the quantity.

Steel for Firewall 2 x 6 inch
For new construction when the pipe line penetrates the fire barrier wall in garages, for example. Use rubber cement and couplings to connect to standard vacuum PVC piping.

Fire Stop Ring by STI was designed specifically for the central vacuum industry. It is easy to apply and very affordable.

Fire Stop Ring
Made by 3M, this fire stop ring fits over the pipe and collapses the PVC pipe and wire when heated. Using one on each side of the wall may be recommended for some applications.

Flexible Pipe (sold by foot)
Flex Pipe is excellent for installing VacPan automatic dustpans. Central Vacuum 2" OD PVC pipe fits snugly into this flexible pipe that is 2" ID. Use a Hose Clamp for Flex Pipe for best connection, do not glue. Not recommended as a replacement for rigid pipe.

Hose Clamp for Flex Pipe
The Hose Clamp for Flex Pipe keeps your flexible pipe clamped down on the 2" OD central vacuum pipe good and tight. Please do not glue the flex pipe to the PVC but use a clamp of some sort such as this for best results.

Adapter used to mate older HP Vacuflo or any 1.8125 inch (1-13/16") Outer Diameter vacuum pipe (not SCH 40) to standard 2 inch OD thinwall vacuum pipe.

Adapter used to mate smaller vacuum pipe (not SCH 40) with 1.75 inch Outer Diameter (as some Kenmore systems have) to standard 2 inch OD thinwall vacuum pipe.

Used to terminate the end of a vacuum pipe. Also used to cap the unused debris intake neck on any of MD's power units. If you need a case of these enter 50.

Muffler for vacuum fits 2-inch OD exhaust ports
Is your power unit too loud? Decrease that irritating sound by inserting this muffler into any central vacuum that has 2" OD diameter exhaust port(s). One muffler per exhaust port on the vacuum itself. Use a 90 Spigot Sweep Ell (part #503 in Hardware / Pipe and Fittings) to install it vertically if desired. Total Length is 13.5 inches.

Cyclonic Pre-Filter Separator
 Tank Only, No Motor, Pre-Unit-Filter Tank. Dirty air goes into the non-centered intake on top of the tank. As it enters the tank it creates a cyclonic cleaning action causing 96% of the debris to fall down to the bottom. The air is then moved out of the tank through the center hole on top where it heads to the actual motorized vacuum unit. Size: 31" tall, 14" wide, and holds 7 gallons.

Motor Exhaust Coupling
Can be used in either direction. Wide side: inner diameter is 2", outer is 2-1/4". Narrow side: inner diameter is 1-7/8" and outer is 2-1/8". Central vacuum pipe fits into it to extent the exhaust. Central vacuum tubing is thin wall PVC, not SCH40. But SCH40 can be used, the 1.5" ID has a 2" OD that fits into the coupling like vacuum pipe does. SCH40 is three times thicker so the exhaust might be constricted a little, but with no adverse affects.

Air Relief Valve for Central Vacuum Systems
The Air Relief Valve stops damage to your motor caused by clogs and blockage. In the instance that a clog or blockage occurs the valve will spring open, allowing air to the motor, which prevents damage to the motor. You will need to purchase a sweep tee connector and splice it into your pipes - the closer to the unit the better.

Unit Install Kit
The parts and and adapters you need to swap out your old central vacuum power unit for a new one from M.D. Manufacturing, Inc. Comes with two 2-foot sections of central vacuum pipe. Includes an adapter for narrower Kenmore PVC pipe. Kit has a hose adapter to fit a new hose into a 1-1/4 inch diameter vacuum wall port so you can buy any new attachment kit and be assured it fits any central vacuum system no matter the brand, year or model.
