New Lamb Ametek Central Vacuum Motors

Back to Parts & More

How to find your motor. Lamb Ametek Vacuum Motors are used in almost every central vacuum and in many blower motor products. You can cross reference central vacuum motors by using a 4 or 6 digit number often found on the motor itself or buy looking up your brand and model on our Brand Pages.

Motor numbers and sizes. Motors here are either direct replacement motors, or upgrades for older (sometimes discontinued) units. Motors end in -00 (ex: 119413-00) unless otherwise noted. A -13 motor has an epoxy coating only needed by vacuums that involve water vapor. A -07 means the wire leads have some type of terminal end, which doesn’t matter since it is recommended to strip the wire and use wire nuts when replacing the motor. The measurements 7.2” & 5.7”, etc. are the diameter of the widest circular section of the motor.

Stock and shipping. All vacuum motors are brand new and complete as pictured. We have them in stock at our facility (other places make you wait while they special order them). Motors are extremely well packed for shipment. All motors have a 30-day 100% Money Back Guarantee and either a one year residential or 30 day commercial/industrial warranty. We also have excellent shipping to Canada.

How to Replace Your Central Vacuum Motor. First - turn circuit breaker off or unplug your vacuum. Then - loosen or remove the 2 or 3 screws holding the motor in place and disconnect the 2 or 3 wires. Replace with new motor and wires. New wires come attached to all motors. Click here for more detailed central vacuum motor replacement instructions.

119413 Lamb Motor PLUS Free Wire Set

119413 Motor for Vacuums and Blowers

Product Details

119413 Lamb Motor PLUS Free Wire Set
Our brand new (not rebuilt) Lamb 119413 Ametek motor is a very common motor in many central vacuum brands and models. 119413 motor is a Lamb Ametek original motor.

Specifications:
  • Fan Stages - 2
  • Bottom Diameter - 5.7"
  • Voltage - 110-120
  • Hertz - 50-60
  • Height - 6.5"
  • Bolt Height - 2.75"
  • Waterlift - 84.9"
  • CFM - 97
  • AirWatts - 255
  • Amps - 7.4
What to note: This 119413 vacuum motor may say 9413 or 11-9413. Includes a wire set with spades to connect to motor. We recommend splicing the other end to old wire using wire nuts.

What motors it replaces: 116471 and 116336

When to replace: The signs that a 119413 Lamb motor needs to be replaced include: mini breaker popping, electrical smell, excessive blue sparks seen from motor top, you only hear a click, motor shuts down on its own but works later, or its life of 900-1,200 hours has been used up. (If you don't hear a click, then your relay most likely needs to be replaced and your motor may be fine). Five percent of the time, the minibreaker will go bad as well as the motor. If this happens, replace the motor and then evaluate the mini breaker.

How to replace: It is not difficult to replace the 119413 ametek motor. There are three to four screw brackets and a couple of wires. All of our customers are amazed at how easy it is. NOTE: There is no core trade-in. Used motors are thrown away. Click here to read and print out our step-by-step motor replacement instructions. Note that if the unit bolts into metal brackets then the ground wire can be snipped. If plastic then attach the ground wire to the ground from the power cord or anywhere to metal on the unit.

Replacing motor brushes: The lamb 119413 vacuum motor has carbon motor brushes that can be replaced. This should be done before a motor is "on its last legs." Read more about changing the motor brush on the detailed motor brush how-to page. If you are ready to replace your motor brushes, here is a link to the 119413 motor brush. You will need to buy two.

117500-12 Lamb Vacuum Motor PREMIER

117500-12 Motor for Vacuums and Blowers

Product Details

117500-12 Lamb Vacuum Motor PREMIER
Our brand new (not rebuilt) Lamb Ametek 117500-12 Motor is a very common motor in many central vacuum brands and models. 117500-12 motor is a Lamb Ametek original motor.

Specifications:
  • Fan Stages - 3
  • Bottom Diameter - 7.2"
  • Voltage - 110-120
  • Hertz - 50-60
  • Height - 8-3/4"
  • Bolt Height -2-3/4"
  • Waterlift -145.9"
  • CFM - 102.5
  • AirWatts - 530
  • Amps - 14.2
What to note: The "-12" represents a small internal performance increase that helps the motors longevity in more dirty environments.

What motors it replaces: Replaces motor 119389.

When to replace: The signs that a 117500-12 Lamb motor needs to be replaced include: mini breaker popping, electrical smell, excessive blue sparks seen from motor top, you only hear a click, motor shuts down on its own but works later, or its life of 900-1,200 hours has been used up. (If you don't hear a click, then your relay most likely needs to be replaced and your motor may be fine). Five percent of the time, the minibreaker will go bad as well as the motor. If this happens, replace the motor and then evaluate the mini breaker.

How to replace: It is not difficult to replace the 117500-12 Ametek Motor. There are three bolts and a couple of wires. All of our customers are amazed at how easy it is. NOTE: There is no core trade-in. Used motors are thrown away. Click here to read and print out our step-by-step motor replacement instructions. Replacement Vacuum Motor Brushes are sold individually and each motor uses two. Occasionally only a single brush may need replacing because only 3/16" of carbon is left. Replacing brushes that have worn all the way down and scored the armature will wear down fast and be of little benefit. We suggest replacing the motor if the armature is scored. Also, once a motor has run its life expectancy of about 800-900 hours it is best to replace the motor, not the brushes. Note that 120 and 240 volt brushes are not interchangeable. Centra Exhaust Filter Bag for Central Vacuum

Centra Exhaust Filter Bag for Central Vacuum

Product Details

Centra Exhaust Filter Bag for Central Vacuum
Attaches to central vacuums and filters the dust out of the exhaust, but is NOT TO BE USED with filter-less systems, only with bag or filtered systems. There is too much dust coming out of cyclonic systems and it will clog the filter and damage the motor. The Centra Exhaust Filter attaches TIGHTLY to a central vacuum fitting such as a coupling or 90-degree elbow (something with 2-3/16 inch outer diameter). Overall dimensions are 11.5" long, 4.5" wide, and 4.5" tall (tapering down to the other end). Change the Centra Exhaust Filter about every third emptying of the cycle, or when it gets darkly discolored. Enjoy a healthier environment today with the Centra Exhaust Filter! Filters down to 1 micron size!

Motor Exhaust Coupling

Motor Exhaust Coupling

Product Details

Motor Exhaust Coupling
Can be used in either direction. Wide side: inner diameter is 2", outer is 2-1/4". Narrow side: inner diameter is 1-7/8" and outer is 2-1/8". Central vacuum pipe fits into it to extent the exhaust. Central vacuum tubing is thin wall PVC, not SCH40. But SCH40 can be used, the 1.5" ID has a 2" OD that fits into the coupling like vacuum pipe does. SCH40 is three times thicker so the exhaust might be constricted a little, but with no adverse affects.

Free Flow Pipe and Hose Maintenance Sheets

Free Flow Pipe and Hose Maintenance Sheets

Items forced out of the system using Free Flow Maintenance Sheets.

Actual items forced out of a single system using Free Flow Maintenance Sheets.

Product Details

Free Flow Pipe and Hose Maintenance Sheets
Free Flow Central Vacuum Maintenance Sheets are the homeowner's choice for central vacuum system care, no matter the make, model or year! Simply vacuum a sheet or two directly through the hose at each vacuum wall inlet. Each container contains 25 sheets which travel through the hose and pipes and stay in the main unit. Everything is cleaner, air is flowing faster, and the system smells fresh!

Benefits of Using Free Flow Sheets
Your central vacuum system is a major built-in appliance with long pipe runs that would be very difficult to replace if damaged. It is essential to take care of them even if they have never been serviced. The average home has over 1000 feet of pipe throughout the walls, attic, basement, and soffits. Free Flow is the quick and powerful way to keep your system clean and maintained.

What Do Free Flow Sheets Actually Do?
When suctioned through the hose end according to the directions, Free Flow Sheets clear the inside of the hose and pipes as they travel to the vacuum unit. Their volume and speed force larger objects such as pens, batteries, match box cars, rocks, hair-fuzz balls, jewelry, and sticks to the main vacuum unit. Free Flow Sheets are the perfect balance of density and moisture. As they travel they are also wiping the surfaces. The powerfully pleasant scent leaves the entire system smelling clean and fresh including the exhaust of the main unit because the sheets simply remains there.

Do they ever clog your pipes?
If your system is developing a tough clog, this product should push it all through, but there is a chance it could get stopped up even more. However, that may not be a bad thing as sometimes clogging the pipe can help the vacuum build pressure to force the difficult mess through. If it can't push it through then the clog was bound to be a problem anyhow, yet we have methods in our trouble shooting guide for resolving it.

Product Change
First quarter 2015 the product was changed from Tornado Power Maintenance Cloths to Free Flow Maintenance Sheets. They are essentially the same product.
