I purchased this model to replace my older Hayden vacuum. It is everything and more that they tell you about it. It's like a self propelled lawnmower. Very quite, smooth.

The attachment kit is a bit bulky. We don't use the hardwood floors attachment because it is too big a head....it doesn't fit under some of our lower areas. The stealth carpet agitator unit is a nice upgrade from the old one. The connection into to attachments at hose end is a bit bulky. The new hose doesn't seem like it kinks as easy as the old one, maybe because it's new.

Stealth power unit is totally unusable for thick carpet as it is difficult to move and often stops motor. Did not know about the problem till I got the unit and tried. Made the modifications that was recommended for thick carpet but it did not work. Don't know what to do because the recommended mods required cutting a tab in the motor and now it is not returnable. Very disappointed and now stuck with an unusuable power unit. (MD NOTES: The Ace is better for "abnormally" tall or thick carpets. It adjusts the highest of all vacuum heads. We will exchange this customer's Stealth head for the Ace and provide wands.)

I had a Hayden for 12 years. I like the lighter Stealth beater bar. I am glad that I went with the 35 foot hose. I would buy from this company again.

The Stealth power brush is great. I find putting the hose away to be a bit of a task as it is so stiff! I was not at all happy with the wand as it did not fit properly to the handle and slid off constantly. I made a call to customer service and they sent me a new one, no charge, that day. The new one works perfectly! (MD NOTES: The secondary wand works perfectly fine when put on correctly. Simply slide the wand up far enough to cover the metal nipple.)

A great improvement. The first one was nice but everyone who has had the chance to use this new self propelled unit has had nothing but positive comments. It was worth the price.

When vacumming this weekend it kept spitting back the dabree I was vacuuming and I'm not sure why. I adjusted the roller height and it still did it. (MD NOTES: Your suction is not working. The brush is gathering the debris but there is not air to carry it in. Please use our troubleshooting guide to fix it www.builtinvacuum.com/flowchrt.html.)

Love the wide head brush, and the extension pole on the power head is great for this 'shorty' and should work fine for our 6'-4" grandson's help with the chores. The Stealth Next Generation is doing a better job of carpet cleaning than our previous kit. We're thrilled with this Stealth Kit.

Just had this a short time. Seems to work quite well. I like the metal tubes. The button to disconnect the tube from the hose seems a bit weak and works a bit stiffly. This makes a little difficult for my wife to disassemble the parts (she has arthritis). It would be nice if that button were attached with a screw instead of a rivet in case it ever needs to be replaced. All in all, it is a very good unit.

4 Stars. Great system over-all. The powered vacuum head is very quiet compared to our old one, and really gets the dirt out. The only major drawback to this system is with the method of connecting any of plastic attachments to the metal hose end of the handle -- the there is no positive connection, as the plastic peices lack the locking hole, and during use they quickly loosen and fall off of the metal end of the handle. The only solution I see is an adapter with a locking mechanism for use between the end of the metal handle and the plastic attachments, and between the the attachments and the plactic extension tube. If those were available, this system would rate 5 stars. A minor issue is the suction relief port slider, which tends to spin open rather easily without the user noticing.
MD Notes: The metal wand should stay connected to your Stealth brush at all times. A secondary plastic telescopic wand is provided in the Stealth kit for a tight friction fit to your accessories.

I used my daughter's Stealth at her house and liked the power beater----I have used a Hayden system for the past 12 years and thought the Stealth would be better---I would get another Hayden if I had it to do over. The Stealth power beater IS great. The hose construction could be/should be better. It kinks too easily--the inner coils need to be fortified. The floor brush flies off the wand very easily so I'm stopping to put it back on frequently. Ya, for the money, I'd go with a Hayden. MD NOTES: The Hayden hose is very retro from the 80's. It is bulky and not crush proof.

I love the Stealth attachment kit. It works much better than my original Beam attachments. The only problem I have is the floor attachment wand doesn't stay on the nozzle very well.

Original I didn't want to spend this much on a replacement kit for a 20 year old system. But now that we have used the stealth kit I'm glad I bought it. It is far better than what I had and looks better than using a hose wrapped in duct tape.
