Replace ACV Motor Shell?

I have an All Canada Vac unit ACV 90 I need to replace the unit (Sparks Visible on inside) and want to know if I can replace it with an upgraded unit with some type of exhaust pipe and noise reduction. Does this ship in a full replacement top part of the canister unit or just the motor wich then needs to be fitted into the housing.

Answer:
Our advice here at MD Central Vacuum is to replace the entire unit with one that fits your needs better. Usually companies do not offer replacement top sections, but you can contact them to find out for sure. Our vacuums, made here in California, are top emptying, disposable, quiet, and clean exhaust. 116.2297180 Motor?

GREETINGS, I HAVE AN OLDER SEARS KENMORE VACUUM CLEANER MODEL #116.2297180, SERIAL #82M2111167. IT STILL WORKS BUT I NOTICED A HIGH PITCHED WHINE THAT WOULD BECOME MORE OF A GROWL/GRINDING NOISE WHEN SHUTTING THE UNIT OFF. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE MOTOR IS FAILING AND WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. IS THE MOTOR #116429 A VALID REPLACEMENT AS IT LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME. RAYMOND G. SMITH SUNNYSIDE, WA 98944

Answer:
That would be their part 700518 and if you think the measurements we give are the same then yes it would work for you. The widest part of the motor we sell is 5.7 inches. If yours is really close to that then you are good to go with this motor.
