Replace Both Motors? Minibreakers?

I have an S5 that is about 10 years old. The numbers I see are 190400F & 611097F. Is this the right motor? I am having trouble with one of the overloads tripping. Does this mean I should change one or both of the motors?

Answer:
This is the correct motor for your vacuum if it has the large 110 volt wall plug. The 240 volt plug is smaller. We don't have a cross reference with the numbers you give since they are not vacuum motor numbers but instead simply parts on the motor itself. We suggest replacing both motors because they have the same amount of hours on them and you'll be back in several months, most likely, to change the other one anyhow. If your minibreaker was tripping it may need to be replaced but that is rare. Having said that, though, it is easier and less expensive to deal with it now instead of later if it does end up being an issue. Minibreakers are here http://builtinvacuum.com/parts/electrical-parts.html

117939-00 Replacement?

My existing motor that is out reads # 117939-00 Does the -00 mean anything, because i don't see one like this. My silent master Vac is model 108SE You refer to models like S4,S5 ect. I'm not sure what my model is I guess, I am just looking at Lamb motor # 117939-00 This unit is 5yrs old and has two motors. Should I replace 1 or 2?

Answer:
You have found the right motor here, it is the 117939-00 (if you have other -## this is still the replacement). Your call for one or two motors, but experience says that the second motor will go out sooner than later. It depends on your time and money. If you have any more questions please let us know.

SilentMaster S2 Compatible?

Can this replace the motors in the S2 Silent Master 115 volt motors? Is there a location in Los Angeles to pick them up? Deborah, Los Angeles

Answer:
This motor is only for the S4 and S5. It will not fit the S2. The S2 needs this motor: http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=202G,221,721H-5,how2mtr&title=Motor+for+SilentMaster+S2
