Looking for Cone, Vacumaid

I moved into a house with a Vacu-Maid Model P-125. There is no plastic cone inside the system and debris continues to get pulled in and I am loosing suction. Can I get a replacement cone for this and do I also need a filter? Thanks-Maria, Meridian Idaho

Answer:
Hi, we do not have the cone but if you call we can point you in the right direction. If you are wanting a better filtering unit with less dust escape then please consider the 50% stronger FloMaster M85 for around $500 at http://builtinvacuum.com/flomaster/index.html

AirVac 212 Filter

My air vac is model #212. I want to purchase a replacement filter. You have a filter for model #212A. Are they compatible? Thank you, Blanche

Answer:
Hi Blanche, we show you take the 8x8 inch foam filter. If yours is smaller we have the 6x6 as well.

vs 6x6

Nick, Gloucester, ma. I have an E13OA and lookng for new filter. Want is the difference between the 6x6 an 8x8?

Answer:
Hi the only difference is the 8x8 is two inches taller and wider. It has more surface area but should only be used in place of the same sized filter. If you have 6x6 foam or pleated cartridge then use the 6x6 foam for best results.

MAXI VAC Filter?

I HAVE A MAXI VAC INSTALLED 1974. IT WAS MANUFACTURED BY WARD MFG. DALLAS, TX. S/N M1292 MOTOR 1.9HP VOLTAGE 115AC AMP 13.1 MAX. THE FOAM FILTER IS MISSING. I DON'T KNOW MEASUREMENT. DO I NEED TO MEASURE THE INSIDE POST, WIDTH, AND DEPTH. PLEASE ADVISE. THANK YOU, GAIL COLEMAN GREENSBORO, NC

Answer:
Hi, you will probably take the 6x6 or 8x8. Basically you want it not too close to the inner diameter. The 8x8 may be too wide. The two inch hole in the filter can go over a long metal post, or other object. Sometimes there was a wing nut and washer, or a retainer plate to keep it from falling down. But if yours is a 2-inch diameter post then you can use one of these filters as well.

Filter Options for Electrolux Central Vacuum

I have a electrolux model 1590. What are my options for filters? Are there hepa filters available?

Answer:
Hi, great question. Electrolux started using foam, switched to pleated paper, and then switched back to foam (some still have pleated paper). The foam is preferred because it remains a long lasting good filter that is washable. You'll spend more buying pleated replacements. Are there other versions? Nope, sorry, not even HEPA. If the exhaust is getting to you then pipe it outdoors using the pipe, elbows and exhaust vent here: http://builtinvacuum.com/install_shop/pipe-fittings.html

Securing the Filter

Can't seem to get my filter to stay on my CentraLux built in since I cleaned it. Is there a trick??

Answer:
Hi, there was a large washer and wing nut that screwed on to the center shaft. Did you loose them? You can get generic ones at a regular hardware store.

Vacumaid P225 Filter?

I have an old (> 30 years) Vacumaid P225, or so the label says. It is NOT a two piece unit. It is a one piece unit. I need to replace the filterand think that the old one, deteriorated, was foam or at least foam covered. I don't have the manual anymore so I don't have a part number. The serial number on the unit is 1703G035 if that's any help. Appreciate any suggestions you may have. Jack

Answer:
Hello Jack, the key would be to remove what filter you have left and see how it connects in. Most likely it is a 6x6 or 8x8 inch foam filter with a hole in the middle all the way through.

Two Filters - Cut to Fit

I have just purchased two replacemt foam 8x8 foam filters for my E130F Aerus. There is a problem in trying to fit them. The current foam filter is ribbed and has a recessed part which allows one to fit the filter retainer. This is not possible with the replacement filters I received. Are these new filters really appropriate for this model? Do I have to cut them to size? Ricardo whitrichard@gmail.com

Answer:
Hello Ricardo, please call us for further instructions.

6x6x6 Version?

we have an Air vac 180 model which has 2 filters. It looks to take a filter that is around 6x6 6in long. Do you have theses filters?

Answer:

Need 8x6

Our system is Vent a Vac and we are looking for a foam filter that is 6" x 8" with 2" center hole. The replacement filter #CV1015. Can you help? Ann, Crazy Crow Trading Post, Pottsboro, TX

Answer:
Hello, we suggest purchasing two of the 6x6 filters and cutting one in half. Our customers find that it is a great solution to this odd size filter.

MagiVac Foam Filter?

Will this filter fit a magivac central vacuum?

Answer:
Hello, if your original foam filter, or even pleated, was the same size as this one, or even close (though height should at least be the same) then this filter is the one for your Magivac.

Cone Filter?

We have an older model "Air Vac Model 180A". According to the outside diagram of it's inside the 'filter' is described as a "Cone filter"... this replacement suggested does NOT look like a cone... Will it still be the filter replacement we need for this system?

Answer:
Hello, there is a plastic cone within the filtering area and above it is the foam filter. This is typical of filtered cyclonic units. We have not seen a cone shaped filtered so the reference must be referring to the plastic cone that helps channel the air.
