I've had one of these on my silent master since '08. During normal usage of my vacuum it doesn't activiate very much except when my kid vacuums and sucks up a sick or so. When I do notice it activating the most is when we use the vacuum to suck out the air of space saver bags. Instead of cutting it in to the pipe run I used the second inlet port on my vacuum. Imo this should be a standard on an install. Or built in to the unit.
Inexpensive and easy an way to protect your motor from future expensive problems.
Easy to install and adjust. Protect your unit.
The unit vents air into the system when if the vacuum becomes fully blocked. It is quite finicky to set to the right pressure setting so that it reliably pulls in and doesn't leak under normal operation. But if it saves you from a burned out motor, then it is with the effort to install!
easy to install
