Founded in 1909, Eureka has a long and proud history of designing innovative products to meet a wide variety of floor care needs. The company was born in Detroit, Michigan and quickly came to the public eye, having won a notable award at the San Francisco International Exposition for its products in 1915. Eureka was eventually purchased by the globally recognized floor care titan Electrolux in 1974.
Though Eureka is most known for its standard upright vacuums and specialty vacuums, Eureka was also a well known player in the central vacuum market for decades. When Electrolux decided to pull out of the central vacuum market in 2018, the Eureka brand of central vacuums also ended with that decision, though Eureka continues to design and manufacture many other vacuum products today.
