Model E2 Replacement Motor

The plate on the outside of my Model E-2 states 13 amps. The replacement "6336" motors appear to be 8 amps. Will this be an issue? Andrew Boston, MA

This motor will work fine. The 8 amps is the max amperage per motor in your unit.

Fasco Replacement Motor

i have a patton with 447511 and the number 2699 below it on the motor. What would be the replacement motor number for it

We don't have a record of that motor number. Take a look at known models of Fasco central vacuum units and their replacement motors. Each replacement is listed by unit model number here, http://builtinvacuum.com/help/fasco/motor.html

Filtex Motors

I have Filtex vacuum system but cannot read the model number. It is blue, circa 1989, and 30" tall. It appears to have 2 motors. Can you identify the model from that information? How do I get access to the motors? Randall Hollister

Unfortunately you will need more information than that to identify the correct motor. There was also a lot of variation on how the motor housing is opened. Some models had motors on the outside, others on the inside. Usually, it's just a matter of finding the screws that are holding the housing together. Once you can see the motor, you can compare to known Filtex replacements here, http://builtinvacuum.com/help/filtex/motor.html#motor

Fasco 852SVDM Replacment Motor

I have a Fasco 852SVDM. It states that 2 motors are required. Does that mean 2 of the same motor? I am assuming that I need new motors. The vacuum had become over full and after being cleaned, I had only a little suction at the unit. Could you please let me know if this is the most likely problem? Thank you for your help.

If the suction is low at all inlets and right at the unit, then you most likely have a bad motor. Your model does have two of the same motor inside.

Patton 851DM Motor?

I have a patton 851DM central Unit that has 2 motors needing brushes. The motors have no labels, only info. I see on them is the number 447520 with the number 1097 under it. Can you give me a motor brand and number from this?

This is usually a Fasco and usually a 116336 motor. Type that number into the SKU search and you will see the brushes. Note that older motors should be replaced if the armature has any play in it.

Filtex B300BL Replacement Motor

Steve, Kittery, Maine I have a Filtex Model B-300BL, Ser.#88-6471, purchased in 1985. It just stopped working and I suspected a bad motor. Asked an electrician friend how to check it and he said to disconnect the wires and do an ohm check, which showed no continuity, therefore a bad motor?? What would be the best replacement motor for this unit? Is there anything else I should check? Thanks.

If your motor has no continuity in it, then is it dead and needs to be replaced. You can find the correct replacement motor here, http://builtinvacuum.com/help/filtex/motor.html#motor

Filtex TS300L Replacement Motor

I need two motors for a Filtex system. TSP 300L is on the old motor Amp: 1225 Volt: 110-120 Serial # 69-8521 What motors do I need to order? I am looking at the motor below. Is this correct?

That is a different motor than what you need. You can find replacement motors for all Filtex systems here, http://builtinvacuum.com/help/filtex/motor.html#filter listed by model number.

Motor Wiring

Have just replaced Lamb unit on my NTS700A. which wire goes to the fuse? should both motors spin same direction?

The motor is non-polarized, so the wires cannot be mixed up. One wire will go to the electrical lead, the other to the neutral. Both motors should spin the same way. If one is spinning backwards, then it has no power and air is being sucked backwards through the fans by the other motor.

Air Vac AV550A Operation Check

Super pleased with Air Vac model AV550A Serial A901009 for 21 years. Today it died. Power out let is good. Plug in,use garage switch and here a click. Canister clean. 1.Is there a reset button, where? 2.Two fuses,do they go bad? How do I test them? Is there a schematic diagram so I can look, check and not leave this world. Thank Dan Reaume

The reset buttons are the fuse buttons on the outside of the unit. If they are pressed in, they reset. Additional testing of the unit can be done. Follow our troubleshooting guide to locate the issue http://builtinvacuum.com/education/troubleshoot.html

Filtex FX500 Circuit Board

I own a fx 500. Do you sell the ciruit panels for this model. Thanks. Ted

You can use the dual motor board found here, http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=235M The breaker buttons won't line up with the existing holes, but new ones can be made and the board will work fine with your system.

Broan CV40D Bad Motor

Bob halifax,pa Hi I have a broan cv40-d with two 12 amp switches on the side of unit,12 amp top switch was down i pushed bottom 12 amp switch down and turned on, made all sorts of noise and blew breaker.I tried to put switch back into orignal position and switch button would not budge,i pulled top off and pulled the switch out that switch went to a smaller motor inside the top of canister i pluged back in and started turned on and vac works my wife thinks the suction has been less for some time could this little motor be bad and what about the bottom switch 12 amp thanks bob

These are all signs of a dead motor. They will trip the breaker when they finally die and the reduced suction means you're running on one motor. Replacing the motor will fix the issue. We recommend replacing both at the same time. The increased stress on the single motor, and age, mean the motor is nearing the end of its life. You can find the replacement motor here, http://builtinvacuum.com/help/nutone/motor.html#motor

The original motor is the 116336, but you can use a newer more efficient motor in its place. See the guide here for the B2 http://builtinvacuum.com/help/md/motor.html. Both motors fit right in. Note that our shipping to Canada is excellent and affordable for motors.

Filtex Unit Making Noise

I have a M&S Filtrex Model TSP-700-L, Serial # DR71114. Both motors are operating normally, but I am getting a rumbling sound from the unit. Is this an indication that a motor is starting to fail? If I have to replace the unit, what is the correct motor unit to order? Do you have assembly istructions and diagrams available? Thank you, Jerry, Carmichael, Ca.

A rumbling sound coming from the unit without loss in suction may just be a loose motor. Check the motor mounts to make sure they are tight. Should you decide to change the motor, we do have those in stock and can be found here http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=205,how2mtr&title=Motor+for+Filtex or http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=206G,how2mtr&title=Motor+for+Filtex. You will need to look at the pictures to determine which motor is needed. One is mounted on top, the other on bottom.

Filtex 757-P Motor?

I have a Filtex 757-p serial #210683FE motor. What motor should I replace this with?

Filter-Queen 1975

116-336 motor, will this replace the motor in a Filter Queen canister vacuum 1978 vintage? ..Rob Ramm

Most likely yes, the 116336 is this motor. They should look nearly identical so please judge the replacement by the over look of the original motor.

Replace Brushes

Ray, Gardnerville, NV. I have A Modern Day unit with two 119413 motors. Both motors work fine but the brushes are worn to the point of needing to be replaced. Are replacement brushes available or do the motors have to be replaced?

The brushes for the 119413 are here http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=211G,202G. Be sure your motor looks like the one pictured. It may not, so take a look at this one, the 116336, http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=205,211. Remember that the motors should be replaced if they have their 800 or more hours used on them. Brushes will make very little difference for long.

Thoromatic M150 Motor?

Reynaldo from Chicago I have a thoro matic m150 and was wondering If your motor "116336 Lamb Electric Vacuum Motor" is the same one for my vacuum thank you

SilentMaster Lost Power

We have a Silent Master central vacuum cleaner with 2 motors: 110 volt, 15 amp ,Model S2 ,serial # 66574. Recently the suctioning power dropped and I believe it is a motor problem. My questions are: 1- How can I determine which motor is defective ? 2- Do you send any instruction on how to install the new motor with your shipment?.

If your suction is half what it used to be then you probably have a bad motor. Using the SilentMaster parts page, you will get the correct replacement motor and instructions all online. The way to determine which motor is bad is to remove all the filtration and look down into the unit. When it is started, one motor will not start spinning right way, that is the bad motor. The air from the good motor is going through it causing it to spin.

FX675 Motor?

Dan, you landed on the correct motor for this model. You need two of these motors http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=205,221,722L,how2mtr. We show a different motor as well. Those have a bit less power but are more efficient and quiet. These motors here are the originals.

Fasco 852SVDM Motor

Need replacement motor for Fasco model 852SVDM serial # 113006 Shirely Carrig, Goode, Va 24556

These are the correct motors (116336) for your vacuum. It takes two and we recommend replacing both at the same time because of the age of the motors. Otherwise you'll be back shortly replacing the second motor.

5737 Motor Replacement?

This picture looks like my three motors, but the numbers are a little off: 5737-1, 600982FE, and 757-P are on my motor. Is 116336 the right replacement? Thanks.

Actually, the number 5737 number may relate to this motor http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=202Z. But if that is totally off then yes, the 116336 would be your motor by the looks of it. Motors always have a lot of numbers on them but the numbers represent the part of the motor, not the entire motor.

Filtex 285-L, TM-285-L

We have an M&S Filtex 285-L that the motors are going to need replacing soon. We are considering replacing it with a Royal CS 820. Are we better off just replacing the motors on the older unit, i.e is the older one essentially a better unit? Thanks, Dave Cleveland

We like the filtered units better, as well as the two motor configuration. The Royal is a single small motor that spins super fast. The dual motors with better filtration is going to last you longer in our opinion and be just as strong. Replace the two motors with the 116336 motors.

Second Motor Spinning Backwards

I have a airvac AV550 and the unit loses suction after a few minutes. In troubleshooting I noticed that one of the motors reverses direction after a few minutes and causes the suction to decline. Is this a bad motor or some other electrical problem. Thanks, Mark, Cleveland

That means you have a bad motor. You can replace one or both at this time. The suction from the good motor is causing the bad one to spin and since it is essentially an open hole now, and not contributing, the suction is bad. The correct motor for you can be found here, http://builtinvacuum.com/retail/shopretail.php?part_no=205,221,how2mtr&title=Motor+for+AirVac+AV550,+AV550A

jack from attleboro-The model number is ntsp700a. Losing suction and making a noise when being used. Is the 116336 Lamb Electric Vacuum Motor the correct replacement part. will I need anything else to complete the repair?

You can replace both motors or just one. Buy the gasket as well just in case, but if you can, always use the existing gasket. You can see the 700 model motor link from here http://builtinvacuum.com/help/filtex/motor.html. The "A", or any letter after the 700, can be ignored. Let us know if you have any further questions.

I have a filtex power cleaning system central vacuum and the motor needs to be replaced. The model number on the motor is 115757-P. I was wondering if this is the same motor as just model #115757. Thanks, Jim

The 116336 is the correct replacement for all 115757 motors in all applications.

Include Brushes and Gaskets?

Do the motors include brushes and gaskets or do they need to be purchased seperately. George - Chicago

All our motors come complete with the motor and fan assembly. The motor has two carbon motor motor brushes inside it. Extras are available but not needed until about 500 hours of use (if at all). The gasket comes separately. The gasket we sell is a simple thin material for most applications but where there is a larger gasket you must use the original one.

115757 Replacement?

will the lamb 119413 replace the lamb 115757? Thank You! michel, huntsville, AL.

The 119413 and the 116336 motor will fit in as a replacement but the 116336 motor is more powerful and more like the original. We suggest the 116336 motor.

AirFlo Compatible? Parts?

Denise Chino Hills The motor I have is AirFlo Model 102 motor B527297, I need to replace the impaler. Do you have this motor? Or is there a replacement?

We do not have the internal parts for the motor, sorry. Our experience is that when a motor has run it's life then it should be replaced. The time, money and effort for repairing an old motor is not worth the bit of extended life given it.
