Sell the stupid door separately or fix the flawed design that breaks so easily. Get a clue from all the comments! (MD NOTES: The expensive part is the door. The backing plate is one molded part that costs pennies. Please consider the Full Face version for the best longevity. It replaces all square door installations.)
I wish these inlet covers were more sturdy. I've had to replace two of these in less than 6 months due to the same problem. The little plastic clip that supports the spring action breaks leaving the cover hanging open. In order to get sufficient suction in the system, it has to taped shut or replaced. I wish these could be redesigned. (MD NOTES: To reduce the breakage, use the Full Face version. They fit right in and swivel 180-degrees vs 90.)
Too deep to work with a 90 degree and the the cover. (MD NOTE: Always use a tight 90 elbow in a standard 2x4 stud wall.)
