T21 Turbine Power Brush Replacement?

I have a T21 Turbine Power Brush head. Is the TurboCat the replacement? Could you also give me instructions on how to replace the belt on the T21. I thought it would be easy but when I do replace the belt and start the vacuum up the belt tends to slide off and the brushes does not turn anymore.

The T21 was truly an original and good vacuum in its day! No one hear remembers much about how to replace the belt, sorry to say. That said, the TurboCat is the replacement and a much better brush head. Thank you for asking.

Can I Upgrade To An Electric Power Nozzle?

I have the turbocat zoom and the suction is not good. I've only had it two years. Does the stealth MD fit this system? I'd only be interested in the power nozzle. Thanks Nancy - Boston

The Stealth MD would be a wonderful upgrade, however, if you wanted to upgrade from the TurboCat Zoom to the Stealth MD it would require you also upgrade the hose from a low voltage to an electric hose. Fortunately, you can upgrade without the hassle of installation because our corded electric hose only requires a power socket. So if your inlet valves are within 8 feet of a socket it would be a simple adjustment. Here is a link that will provide more information on this power nozzle:

Persistent Noise

Have the turbocat, instruction manual says "turbinePowerhead For P/N 7160,7161 & 7120". The turbocat has developed a noise. I have removed the needle Bearing, and cleared any dust, hair and debris, from the needle bearing cavity. Then reinserted the needle bearing and reassembled the turbocat. But noise still persists. any suggestions? Ken Reno

It could be a tooth missing from the belt or from a gear on the turbine or brush roll, or could be a turbine blade hitting the side wall.

TurboCat Not Spinning On Carpet

My TurboCat carpet accessory spins and sounds fine until you try to vacuum the carpet. It makes a sound like something is loose inside. It is fairly new and so is the belt. No animals in our house either. Any remedies to try?

If it spins in the air but not on the carpet then most likely the gear on the turbine is loose and the turbine will need to be replaced. We have the parts here

Main Vacuum Motor Tripping

My Turbocat power unit keeps tripping the reset breaker and I have to go downstairs to reset it. This usually lasts for only 30 minutes or so, then it happens again.

What is actually happening is your vacuum motor is going bad. It doesn't have to do with what tool or hose you happen to be using, for the most part, but the TurboCat does make your vacuum work a bit harder. You can use the vacuum until the motor completely dies or you can replace the motor sooner than later.

Hose Options

I would like to purchase a 35' turbo "hose" only... please help me accomplish this.

You can order any item any time from our website. Your hose options are here, Just click on the hose you would like.

Turbocat Wheen Repair

We have the M&S version of the Turbo Cat and find it most effective. However, one of the wheels keeps coming off. It seems to "snap" into place when we put it back on; however it falls off again in short order. Is there some way to repair this without having to replace the whole unit? Thank you for your attention.

There is a ring that clips on the end of the wheel stem inside the housing. You will need to open the brush and push the ring on the end of the stem from the inside to secure it in place.

Vacuflo 200 Replacement Accessories

I have a Vacuflo model #200 - serial number 0035648, and need a new hose, vacumm head (Turbocat) and replacement bags for canister. Which one would be best to purchase. I have had the central vacuum system since 1980's.

With Vacuflo, you will need to check the wall inlets. If there are not small holes just outside the main hose hole, then compatible parts can be found here, The low voltage hose will allow you to turn the suction on and off from the handle. Replacement bags can be found here listed by model number

Turbo Cat Belt Life

I have the original turbocat head. what is the average life of the drive belt? I seem to use about 3 belts per year ?

The amount of time a belt lasts is highly dependent on the unique environment of your home. You can check to be sure the belt is in correct position and matches the picture on the bottom of the brush to show which direction the belt should turn.

TurboCat Brush Won't Turn

I bought a turbocat air driven brush less than a year ago. A paper clip caught in the roller near the needle bearing. I removed the clip, and any debris from the brush roller and turbine. I removed the turbine belt (did not touch the needle bearing and did not remove the brush roller) but found that after I replaced the belt with the 90 angle, the brush roller would not move.

Be sure the belt is inserted in the correct direction. There is a picture molded into the bottom of the brush to show the direction the belt should be attached. If the belt is turned the wrong way, the cogs will grip each other and not turn.

Replacement Hose Kits

Bought a home with electrolux BEAM, central vac, probably 2003 model that works grest. The accesories including the floor vacuum with brush is labelled TL2000 , I will need to replace the floor vacuum piece, metal hose pipe, plastic hose pipe and the rest of the accessories. Do you have these in stock? If so, please send ordering instructions and price, thanks. Arvind, Macon, GA

We do carry replacement hose kits and have them in stock. Your air-powered replacment options can be viewed here,

Fit Replacement Inlet Valves? Extra Hose and Wands?

I have an old Filtex (SB-300-L) which is running pretty good. I am going to replace the inlets with Part# 653HW (low voltage). Will this Kit work with the inlet or will I need to purchase an adapter? Also, is the telescopic wand the replacement for the two metal wands in the other kits? If so, can I buy just the hose and wand separately for the 2nd floor?

Yes and Yes. The kit fits these inlets perfectly and you can buy a second hose and wand or two separate metal wands for other areas of the home. Thank you for asking.

TurboCat Zoom Not Spinning

We have a turbocat zoom, approx 2 years old. Brush stopped turning, when I took apart I found the bearing below cover wrapped in lint. cleared out and unit spins free. reassembled but brush turns slow or not at do not hear the whine from the air as much as before.checked for clogs.non found. You can spin impeller easy when apart, brush turns good also. we use hose with elec power head and works fine. air unit seems to have lost all of it's power. Thanks, Anthony, silver creek,ny

Try turning the brush roller around. Also, if the axle was removed from the brush roller, then pull it out and insert through the other side. This roller will only spin free when the axle is inserted through one side, not the other. There could also be something stuck in the turbine that is preventing it from turning.

TurboCat Not Spinning

I have a problem. The TurboCat Zoom Air Driven unit that I purchased no longer works. The brush will not spin when the vacuum is on. What is the warranty on this item? It's only a month old! Thank you. Susan

If the brush roller will not rotate then something is stuck in the air turbine. Turn over the brush and remove the clear plastic cover over the belt. Follow the air channel from the brush roller in the air intake, that's the turbine. You should be able to see the object that is stuck in there, just pull it out.

T21 Replacement or Parts?

I have a Beam (model # 677) central vac system (air powered). The system, outlets and hose all work great. The power head we use is "T21 Turbine Power Brush" we ordered a new "spinbrush" (sorry if that's not the correct term) but while we were waiting on it to arrive the metal bottom of the power head got thrown in the recycling. Is there any way to buy just the metal bottom of this older power head? The system is awesome and still working great since installed sometime around 1986. Thanks!

The T21 is no longer made and the parts are long gone. The TurboCat will be your best replacement. Sorry about losing the bottom of the T21.

Head Sold Alone?

Can I buy just the turbo head with out the hose & accesseries?

Yes, the head is sold alone right here

Shag Compatible?

Does the Turbocat work on a shag pile carpet

It depends on the length of the shag, but yes it works on normal carpets that are blunt cut. Please contact the carpet manufacturer for cleaning recommendations. You'll be suprised how many of them discourage a rotating brush.

Hoover Electric Hose Needed

I own a Hoover Central Vac 550 from 1988. 2 prong with a 8ft pig tale neew to order replacement hose a carpet cleaner please advise which one would fit. Thanks Ken Chicago

Please use the bottom right photo on the Electric Hose page to verify the hose end compatibility. There needs to be two inches from the plastic end of the hose to the center of the metal button lock. If you have that then you need the pigtail cord style hose. It comes in 30 or 35ft length.

Power-Vent Built-in Vacuum

I have a '70s vintage Progress "Power-Vent" built-in vacuum system. The 25'line is beginning to crack and so far electrical tape has worked. Do you supply new 25' lines for this system?

Hi, are you speaking abou the flexible hose? The hose you have should be standard. Please start on this page for help or give us a call

Orginal vs V or Zoom

What's the difference between the TurboCat in the deluxe kit compared to the TurboCat V? Is one stronger than the other?

Hi, the V is the same as the Zoom. Zoom is the updated version of the original TurboCat. It seems like homeowners like both the same but more often they buy what they are familar with, the original. They work the same way and perform the same way. The V or Zoom looks more updated though.

Wood First Floor, Carpet Second

I am building a new house. The first floor is all wood about 2200 sq ft. And the second floor is 90% carpet and 10% wood, total about 2500 sq ft. What head is best for this situation? Air driven Turbo cat or an electric head is the best for us? We are thinking of hide-a-hose for the first floor and regular inlet in the second floor. Thanks for your advise. David.

Hi David, your home sounds wonderful. The Hide-a-hose on the first floor is a great idea. Just be sure to buy a vacuum unit with at least 140 waterlift measurement. That will ensure the suction stays strong as it travels through the older narrower interior Hide-a-hose (as compared to the other hoses on the market today). We suggest the SilentMaster S44 or FloMaster M85 for your main unit. The second floor is where you want to clean the carpets which takes more thought than the hard floors, so we appreciate the question. Hands down you want to go with an electrified hose and vacuum brush. Why use your suction to spin a turbine on a TurboCat when suction should be full throttle directly into your carpet? If only a couple rooms had carpet and you had no kids or pets then a TurboCat makes more sense. For the electric, you don't have to have 110 volt inlets but you sure can, they are easy to install. Either way, choose any of our electric kits and you'll be thankful in the long run. Plus, the price difference is not too much.

Order Brush Alone?

We need to replace the turbocat vacuum portion only. Our hoses and attachments work great. When ordering, do I order the brush portion only?

Hi, yes, all you need is the TurboCat brush alone. If your brush was called something different but looks like this one then it is the correct replacement. But even if you didn't have a rotating brush before, this brush works with all central vacuum hoses. The drop down menu on this page has the brush alone for sale. It is the last product in the menu.

Not Pleased with Edge Cleaning

Many conventional vacuums have edge cleaning. Although I'm no vacuum expert, I believe most often it is suction. It works on carpet and hard wood. The Turbocat that we presently have leaves about 1 inch of dust next to the walls. I hope this clears up my statement. Sincerely, Phil

The TurboCat has weaker suction because it is all focused on turning the turbine. Not much air makes it to the floor. Replacing the hose and TurboCat with an electric hose and vacuum solves the issue like a hero. The air comes directly to the floor, not through a turbine. The EdgeLift Kit goes a step further with edge cleaning by providing direct air channels both edges. No matter what brand of system you have, an Electric Kit will fit your ports and system. Call and we will walk you through any questions you have and give you all your options. All our products have a 30-day money back guarantee. Check out the electric kits here

Replacement Kit for M&S

We have a M&S Air Vac Model # AV525A. My hose head is cracked at the toggle switch is broken and the beater bar belt seems to be broken; little suction. What type of hose and beater bar would you replace this with? Thanks, John in Asheville

Hello John, that question is best answered by the type of flooring you have in your home. The good news is all the attachments are plug-n-play with the system you have, even the popular electric ones. Start here to determine what is best for your home and budget and feel free to call us for additional help.

Turns On and Off, Short?

We own a turbine powerhead for P/N 7160, 7161 and 7210. While using the hose recently it seems as if it may have a short. It will stop working while we are in the midst of vacuuming. We will move the handle and it spurts on and off. We believe the attachment to the house is okay. Just the handle seems to be having a problem. How do we find a new hose. The hose has electrical wires in the handle. Peggy in Danville

Hi Peggy, actually the wires are simply low voltage wire and when they cross the suction starts. If the suction stops then the air powered brush stops too. You may only need a new switch. If not, then buy a new hose. Please look under products and then under hoses in the brand you own. Here is the switch and handle to see if it matches yours,382S

Plastic Vacuumed, Lost Suction

I accidently vaccuumed up a piece of plastic wrap. Now i'm not getting as much suction. How do I unclog it? thank you! rick belleville

Hi Rick, you need to remove the 11 screws that hold the base in. You will see the plastic wrapped around the air turbine. The hardest screw of the 11 to find is the one in the channel where the belt crosses itself.

Best for Pet Hair?

I want to upgrade my accessories, does Turbocat have any accessories that really gets pet hair out of the carpet well? Does the Zoom Turbocat work better than the original? I currently have the original

Hi, both style TurboCats have the same suction limitation that shows its deficiency for homeowners like yourself with a lot of pet hair. Hair gets spun around in the moving parts inside the brush and can begin to clog it up. Plus suction is limited to only the width of a thumb whereas an electric brush has suction coming through a hole with the width of 1.25 inches; and hair doesn't hit any moving parts besides the roller in an electric vacuum nozzle. Your vacuum system, no matter the brand or model, can use an electric vacuum hose and power brush. We recommend the Stealth, EdgeLift, and BlackHawk. They will not only do far better on pet hair but also on the deeper down dirt, we guarantee it. Take a look at the kits here at

Good for Burber?

Is the Turbocat good to use on burber carpet?

Berber or Burber Carpet, however you chose to spell it is cleaned well by the Turbocat. It's tight short weave allows the brush to spin consistently well and clean it good. The bristles on the TurboCat are not too stiff so your carpet will not get fuzzed out anytime soon.

Stick with TurboCat or Move to Electric?

Please tell me what you suggest I buy. I have a system that is about 12 years old with Nutone on the outlets. I am not sure what the motor is--maybe vacuflow. The outlets came with the house when new but house had no vacuum so I bought vacuum, turbocat and hose and parts, 12 years ago. The hose and powerhead are worn out. The powerhead has been fixed a couple of times. There are no electrical outlets near the vacuum outlets. We have two dogs and lots of carpet but within the year will likely be changing half the carpet to wood floors. I'd' like to just replace with a new turbocat and hose with buttons but like to know if you recommend this. Does it make sense to just get your kit? Or will my old metal pipes work? Thanks. Cathleen

Hello Cathleen, even with the hard floors you will still have large throw rugs, right? If so, with your shedding pets, you will get the best clean and longest life with an electric hose and power head (such as Stealth or EdgeLift). The electric outlet needs to be within 8ft of the vacuum port to avoid using extension cords. No matter what brand you have these electric kits will fit. If they don't, we will ship you out a free adaptor. If you rather go with the air driven TurboCat, it is a great second choise. Your wands may work, but here is what you can buy from us that will fit together with the botton locks. Two hose lengths are provided for you to choose from,382BL,383BL,406TB.

Best for Carpet

Hi, Thanks for letting me know turbocat is compatible with Nutone model 350. I do however have lots of carpet. Is there a better product for me to use? Thanks. Lynne Orangeville, Ont., Canada

Hello Lynne, great question. The best product for carpet grooming is an electric powerbrush. May I suggest the EdgeLift Brush Kit as seen here The EdgeLift has more power and airflow for picking up debris than the air driven brushes ( and has a Lifetime Belt Warranty!

Compatible with Nutone?

I have a Nutone Central cleaning system model 350. Need a new hose and some kind of power head as none here when we bought house. Have no idea what to look for. Wall inlet size is 1 1/2 in. Would turbocat attachment kit be compatible? Lynne Orangeville Ont. Canada

Hi Lynne, Thank you for your interest in our TurboCat Kit. This kit is compatible with your Nutone System and will be great for you if you have minimal carpeting. All you need to do is choose the length of hose you need and you are set to go!

Some Carpets, Pets, Long Hair

What to buy? We are in the research / building process. My husband just installed the piping, outlets, and low voltage wiring. We are sold on the Silent Master MD System, but not sure which accesories we need. The house will have mostly hard wood, and tile, with some area carpets. We also have 1 cat, and will be getting a dog. And we have 3 long haired girls in the house. What is the best value for our needs? Robin, Central PA.

Hello Robin, you'd best be serviced with the EdgeLift Kit. It will handle the hair better than the TurboCat and is a great value. It fits in perfectly with the SilentMaster system we also produce. Enjoy and happy, easy cleaning!

Fit Kenmore Central Vac?

We have an old Kenmore unit. The pipes are 1 3/4.The suction starts when you lift the door. Will this deluxe kit fit or do we need to purchase adapters? Also what is the on/off switch for if there is no electricity in the hose? Thanks

Hello, yes this will fit your Kenmore Central Vacuum hose without adaptors. The on/off switch is for other vacuums where the suction is started by contacts within the port hole. These are not 110 volt, but 0 volt, 24 amps. Kenmore, for the most part, didn't have these. Nevertheless, the hose should be used for its other great qualities.

Brush Alone is What?

Is the "Turbocat brushhead alone" the whole vacuum or is it just the brush? Chris, mesa, az

Hello Chris, correct, the brush alone is just the TurboCat by itself. Now hose or anything else.

Replace 7160

I have a VACUFLO , MODEL 260/360 and the floor brush on the vacuum needs to be replaced. The manual refers to #7160 and # 7161. Please providee me information where I can get a brush replacement. I'm located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Thanks Ken Gordon

Hello Ken, this is the exact replacement for all 7160 and 7161 vacuums. It is the very latest from the same manufacturer. Here is a direct link. Enjoy! Oh, to let you know you can upgrade to a complete electric hose and tool kit for far deeper cleaning of carpets. Any of these will fit right into your system, just buy a corded version.

Head Stopped Working

i bought the handheld turbine powerhead about 3 months ago and it has stopped working completely. i followed all the troubleshooting steps but it just does not want to work. BIJEN PATEL 4 CRANE PLACE SPOTSWOOD NEW JERSEY-08884

Hello Bijen, we suggest you return it to the store or dealer so they can try and resolve the issue. We find that some homes need an electric hose and nozzle, and one would fit right into your home. They clean a lot better, especially for home with a lot of hair.

Work with Electric Inlets?

Celia Goode Va I have an electrolux model 1590/Superlux. I have primarily hardwood and tile. My system has the electric prongs, do I have to go with this system again or will your 416D35 work? Thanks for your time.

Great question Celia, the TurboCat Kits are all compatible with inlets that have the holes for 110 volts. The hose will not utilize the voltage because it does not need to. TurboCat spins with the force of the suction of the air. You will be perfectly safe with the TurboCat Kit and your system. Enjoy!

Filtex Compatible?

I have the M&S Filtex FX 900 and i need to replace the hose, Will this original turbocat attachement kit fit do you think ??? Charlotte NC

Hello, yes it will fit. Are the port doors metal? Then you need the Deluxe Kit and a 302CT cuff as well.

Work with Electrolux?

Will the TurboCat Attachment kit work on a Electrolux Model 1590 central vacuum? tess slc

Hello Tess, yes the Turbocat head itself and the kit will work great with the Electrolux vacuum suction and system. If you are connecting it to an Electrolux hose that was used for an Electrolux carpet brush with an electric cord out the back it may not fit because the TurboCat has a neck that a metal tube needs to fit into, not around or over. If you need a new hose, the Low Voltage Hoses sold here fit your wall plates and the TurboCat. You probably also want to get a new extension wand then as well. Ask if you have more questions!

Lots of Dog Hair

I had a Dirt Devil CV 950 installed in my new RV. It came with a RugRat hand-held turbine powerhead, but I need something much more SERIOUS and efficient to keep up with my two dog's shedding. I like having a CLEAN rig to camp inside. Please advise. Thanks for your time and response.

Hello, our customers find that an electric powered (versus air powered - such as the RugRat and TurboCat) works tremendously better for dog hair. The hair doesn't have to travel through the turbine which also constricts the air flow. Electric brushes have 6 times the amount of air effectively reaching the floor and the clean deeper because they have a powerful electric motor to keep the brush from bogging down. An electric kit with fit your inlets but you'll need to have a place to plug in the electric power cord within eight feet of the inlet. The cord comes out the wall end of the hose like a pigtail. We suggest the EdgeLift Kit with Quick Click Hose (it comes as a corded hose) because of the quality you get for the price and the 30ft hose separates at 20ft so you don't have to have a long hose if it is not needed. Here is the kit:, and here are details on the Quick Click Hose:

Progress Power Vent Compatible?

We have an old central vacuum system. It is a Progress Power Vent. I turn it on by a a button where the hose plugs into the wall at one of the access points. It doesn't turn on at the head. Will this kit work for me. I know this has a switch on the head. Thanks.

Hello, yes, this and other kits are compatible. This one only needs air to spin the vacuum head so it doesn't matter how the vacuum unit in the garage or basement is turned on. The inlet hole diameter for the hose is 1.5 or just a tad smaller, right? Then this will work fine. In fact if you want a deeper clean you can get any of our Electric Kits and they will work as well. The wall end of the electric hose has a pigtail electric extension cord 8ft long to plug into a nearby electrical outlet. The wires are hidden in the hose all the way to the hose handle. It is a easy deep down clean!

Switch on Hose End

Just bought a house with central vac turbocat. The on/off switch on the end of the hose does not seem to do anything. What's it for?

Hello and congratulations on the new home. The switch turns the suction on and off. If you have a Vacuflow system and proprietary Vacuflo inlets (has two holes above the main hole) then you may have the wrong type of hose.

Lots of Hair Okay?

I have a Kenmore 116.4053280 central vac. which I use downstairs on our hardwood floors which has only 1 throw rug. But we have to deal with LOTS & LOTS of loose hair from pets. The stealth II is way too pricey, what can you suggest? Can the Original Deluxe TurboCat Attachment Kit survive mega-amounts of dog hair if the turbocat is used only on the throw rug? Mary / Westford, VT

Hello Mary, you are on the right track thinking about the electric vacuum and you don't have to have Stealth. The Edgelift and Blackhawk are a lot less expensive. See the bottom of this page The TurboCat runs all the hair through a turbine and we contantly see it clogged up and costing a lot of money to repair.

Manual Needed

Took apart the T210 Ultra Turbine Powerhead 'cuz cleaning lady overloaded with "stuff" and let it run. Cleaned hair but was so much junk I took it apart and now have extra parts--any way to download manul to see what goes where??? Elizabeth from Bell Canyon CA.

Hello Elizabeth, the manual for this brush which has several different names but is the exact same brush is here:

Replace Turbine Power Head Model 7160

I need to replace my Astro-Vac turbine power head 7160, is your product compatible ? It looks like it is but I want to make sure before I order Bernie, /Buffalo

Hello Bernie, yes the TurboCat is the only replacement for the 7160 from the same manufacturer. It will fit right on and work great.

Upgrade to Electric?

We just moved into a house with a sequoia central vacuum with an air powered turbocat kit. I wanted to get an extra kit for the upstairs, but now I'm reading about the fact that air powered is really for houses w/o a lot of carpet. We have a large amt. of carpet - the whole house except for kitchen and bathrooms. So I'm wondering whether I should upgrade to an electric kit instead - and how difficult is that to do? Otherwise, I will just go ahead and get the turbokat kit. By the way, I like the older hose handle better than the upgraded one (the gas nozzle type one). I bought a new hose at a local supplier and am going to take it back b/c I find the handle uncomfortable. Jen - Roseville

Hello Jen, since the TurboCat kit worked with your system, the electric kit will too, the only difference is when you plug the hose in there will be an 8ft extension cord attached to the hose end that you will plug into a nearby electrical outlet. The difference in electric, especially the Stealth will simply amaze you! If you call us we may be able to get you the handle type you like.

Replacing Electric Hose and Head

I have a Nutone Central Vac System, Model 450. Our hose as a pigtail electric plug that plugs into the outlet next to the vac outlet. We want to replace our hose and our power head unit, but I am not sure as to what we need or if your units are compatible with ours. Please advise.

Hello, the product under which you ask the question is not electric. Air power spins the brush. Electric is quieter and more powerful. Within the electric options Stealth Kit is the best. Here is an overview of them all. They will all fit your system and work together seamlessly. Be sure to buy a cord version of the electric kit you buy.

Spins Slowly on Carpet

I have an Act 1 air vacuum system...the beater bar appears to be working ok on vinyl floor, but when it hits the carpet it definitley slows way down and does not pick up well on the carpet. I have cleaned the bar and one end appears to not spin as quickly. I have had it since 4/26/06. Please advise asap as I can't stand the dirty floor!!! thanks Connie

Could be several factors. If your suction is less then it will not be able to spin well on carpet. Have you cleaned the filter in the dirt collector? How about the screen under the motor if you have Vacuflo? Also may need to take the brush in half by unscrewing the 11 or 12 screws. The hardest one to find is under the metal rod in the channel the belt goes through. Taking the brush in half allows you to clean the hair off the turbine. Also, if you have an old hose and it has tiny cracks and holes then precious air will leak from it. Let us know if you have more questions as you get into this. Oh, also, we do recommend that sometime when you are ready to make a replacement purchase that you consider an electric power brush kit such as the corded Stealth Kit. It fits right into your system and will have 99% less issues and talk about clean carpets, wow.

Replacement Parts

Where can I get repare parts for my Turbocat, particularly the plastic upper and lower center plastic bearings. I do not need the brush roller assembly, but the main turbine is missing a very few vacuum teeth which I might replace although it works great. The brush probably is worn. Due to badly worn center bearings, the cleaner makes a considerable racket.

The only available replacement parts are on this page.

Need to Change Wall Valves?

We have your Central Vac. model 350. We chose Nutone when our house was built in 1973. Where can I find replacement parts such as the carpet suction wand, and metal curved pipe that it attaches to? The openings in the wall are 1-7/16 and the hoses are slightly smaller. I would be willing to purchase a new kit if I did not have to change out the 5 wall outlets. Or new outlets if they would cover at least the same area of the wall when the old one is removed. The wall out let is 3" tall and 3-3/4" wide. The hoses we have are fine and the Vac is Bullet Proof. Thanks

The older Nutone has slightly smaller wall valves as you indicated. That is not a problem if you buy an Deluxe TurboCat or any electric kit such as the Stealth, they will all fit your inlets! However, the fit will be tight. Thankfully, it is really easy to scrape a little plastic off the hose end to get the perfect fit. There are two plastic ridges on the hose end that give it the tight fit and they can be made smaller. Hundred's of Nutone customers have done this with great satisfaction. Note, newer Nutone inlets are now industry standard size.

Rittenhouse Vacuum Attachment Kit

I purchased a 1987 home with a Rittenhouse central vac system Model CV130. I need to replace one inlet. The inlet has the 2 contact pins. Screws are mounted vertically. The hose I.D. is 1 1/4" the O.D. is 1 1/2". There is a metal band around the hose and no switches. It powers when I push it into the inlet. What inlet kit do I need? Thank you.

You have all your options with those inlets. If you have carpeting with highly suggest a corded Stealth Kit, if little carpeting - a Deluxe Kit. They will both fit right into your system and give the most functionalty and cleanliness.

Clog in the Vacuum Tubing

My son threw his toy car in the wall suction and the air suction has stopped. Any suggestions how this could be fixed. Thanks

Please use the tips in our troubleshooting flowchart to unclog the system.

Kit Options for Two Contact Inlets and Electrical Outlets

My Vacumaid system has the inlets that appear to have two little metal prong "switches" with a power outlet within three feet of the inlet. I am not sure which one of the kits I would want, also I am looking for the wand and hardwood/tile floor brush for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have all the options open to you, but since you have carpeting the best system for incredible cleaning would be an electric kit with corded hose - such as the Stealth Kit . It is well worth the money for the cleanliness and resulting better in door air quality. If you don't have much carpet, we suggest the non-electric TurboCat Kit. Both kits will allow you to control the suction with an on/off switch on the hose handle.

Nutone Inlets Compatible?

My outlets appear to be 1 1/2 wide. Screw holes at side and says NuTone. Vac is Vacuflo. Compatible?

Yes it is very compatible.

Replace Vacuflo?

I have a Vacuflo model 260/360 in the home I bought. I need to replace the main vacuuming head and some accessories, where do I begin? Thanks for your help.

If you are not replacing the hose, then the TurboCat and any accessories found here will work with your system. If you need a new hose, first look at your wall inlets. If they say Vacuflo 4850 or 4950 then industry standard hoses found here are not compatible. If the inlets are any other number then they are stardard and you can use the hoses here, and you can consider the best upgrade of all - an electric hose and power brush - such as the Stealth Attachment Kit with corded hose. The hose has wires hidden in it and the wall end of the hose has an 8-foot extension cord you plug into the nearest electrical outlet. The electric beater brush cleans far superior and is worth the extra money if you have wall to wall carpet.

Kit for 1-3/16 or 1-1/4" Diameter Inlet

inlet is 1-3/16 id and the original hose end is 1-1/8 od. does anyone make an adapter or complete hose kit w\turbocat

Those measurements are correct for the TurboCat Kit with adaptor for 1.25 inch inlets (will fit 1-3/16 as you have). it comes with a 30ft or 35ft hose.

Fits 1-1/4" inlets?

i have a central vac system installed in 1961 the inlets have the words My Maid printed on it. the inlet id is inch & one eight. is there an adapter or complete hose package available like the turbocat. changeing the inlet would require opening walls. there are 11 inlets w\garage total sq ft 6000. i am upgradeing the vac unit as well looking for cyclonic type unit i had a vacuflow in previous house Thank You

Are you sure the inlet is 1 1/8 not 1-1/4 ? We have not run into any that small before. If 1-1/4 we have both electric and non-electric attachment kits. The four kits on this page fit the 1.25 inch inlets.

Hose Has Pins, or Not?

Is this non direct or direct?

It is not 110-volt electric, the switch simply controls the low voltage on/off wire for suction control. But if you have a Vacuflo system, some of their wall inlets have what looks like 110-volt holes that true 110-volt systems have, but on the Vacuflo inlet those holes are for the low voltage connection. If you have Vacuflo inlets with the holes above the main hose hole, you have proprietary inlet valves that few business support. We suggest spending about $20 an inlet to upgrade them to industry standard. It is very simple to do with our inlet adaptor and a new inlet valve found on our Vacuflo page.

What is the difference between the Turbocat & the Turbocat Zoom vacuum? IH Davis

The Zoom has a dual line of brushes on the roller, larger better bumpers, is quieter, and looks better!
